Easter table runner…

When I was growing up my mom was always creating something with her hands, and she still does.  She made this beautiful Easter table runner for me a few years ago, and it’s now part of our Easter traditions.  She made it from Ginger Cookie Company’s, Hippity Hop pattern.

Sew and Show Saturday—#3. Doggone cute doggies!

What’s the difference between fabric hoarding and just collecting some good fabrics for the future….let’s not go there…
But how many of you have a pile of old jeans sitting around waiting to be turned into some kind of masterpiece??  This sweet doggie quilt was the answer to my denim dilemma!!  It is made using a bunch of old jeans and even a pair of corduroys.  It was a really easy pattern called Playful Puppies, from Sandy Bonsib’s book Flannel Quilts.

Each has buttons for their eyes and nose, and embroidered mouths.  The floppy ears of this quilt is what sold me on the pattern!!  I made all of mine out of plaid flannels.
Can you guess where this one is displayed in my house??  The laundry room!!  I should have used my unmatched stray socks for the ears—HA!!
